It's that time of year again- making gifts!! I love designing little kits that are quick and easy to make for last minute gifts. Buckle up because I've got a TON of them here!
Last year, I made the advent calendar cards that we put out on our mantle. I didn't get them out until Dec. 17th so we missed a lot of days, but this year we began with day one and we have been having so much fun with them! Tonight is write a letter to Santa. Kenzie has told me that she doesn't want to mail it but rather she wants to bring it to the mall to give to Santa in person to make sure he gets it. So cute. Here is the advent kit.
Next, I have had the pleasure of working together with Jennifer McGuire on a class at TwoPeas for today about making little pillow boxes. These are perfect for gift cards, necklaces, bracelets, money, small toys, etc... So many ideas! They were fun to make and so easy! I love that Jennifer made one of hers smaller and clear for candies!!
As usual, I printed off some calendars- bot for CDs and from Shutterfly. My family requests the big 8.5 X 11 shutterfly ones now- they love them! And Tim loves having the CD one on his desk at work. Grandma loves the little checkbook one for her purse. :) I also printed out some of these longer non photo calendars to hang on the wall. I found that a funky way to hang them is to buy plain black skirt hangers and clip the calendar into them- they look cool!
As for Christmas cards, invitations and letters, there are LOTS of ideas to choose from. This handy All in one kit if perfect as it covers so many bases. Or you can opt for the 99 cent card only and be done your cards in no time!
Or how about making some gift tags and ornaments? These are so fun! We made 6 of the ornaments for our tree this year and Kenzie is giving the mini cards to her friends at school with a little treat from her.
And if you are up for some journaling this season, this is perfect. It's been fun. I have done the first three days so far and have really been enjoying reflecting on the traditions that make Christmas special to me. It's a bit bulky to fit all the pieces into the cd holder. I have all of mine held together with a bulldog clip and then the day I have just done I put into the calendar for display.
And lastly, don't forget invitations to all of your parties!
